ABOUT THE “ORNAMENTAL MAPLE LEAF” COMMEMORATIVE PRINT

Commemorating Canada’s 150th, a curious selection of 371 pieces of 19th century movable metal type were brought together to form a leaf. From anchors to bees, you will find many little hidden symbolic representation of our Canadian East Coast. The handset metal typeface header was designed and hand tooled by the late “Jim Rimmer”, a Canadian award winning graphic designer and typographer.
